During a sinus lift:

How Long After Bone Grafting or a Sinus Lift Can an Implant Be Placed?
Every patient is different, and the rate at which their bone graft or sinus lift heals will vary. Several factors come into play, including:

- The type of bone grafting material used
- The individual’s healing process
For most individuals, it takes anywhere from 3 to 6 months for the graft to integrate with the existing bone. During this time, the body produces new bone cells, gradually replacing the graft material. For a sinus lift, the healing time can be slightly longer, ranging from 6 to 9 months. This extended healing period is necessary to ensure that the new bone is strong enough to support the dental implant.
