We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Assistant to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dental clinic environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a sterile environment. This position requires a strong understanding of dental assisting practices, including four-handed dentistry and infection control protocols.

Duties

1. Assist the dentist during various surgical procedures by providing four-handed dentistry support.

2. Prepare and maintain the surgical area, ensuring all instruments are sterile and ready for use.

3. Monitor and record vital signs of patients before, during, and after procedures.

4. Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient workflow and patient care.

5. Educate patients on post-operative care and answer any questions regarding their treatment.

6. Maintain accurate patient records using Epic or similar electronic health record systems.

7. Adhere to infection control standards to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff

8. Strong understanding of infection control practices within a clinical setting.

9. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.

10. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining attention to detail.
